Wild Olive Tree

The Wild Olive Tree, or Olienhout, belongs to the species Olea europea subsp. africana and is  indigenous tree to Southern Africa.
It is a small to medium-sized evergreen tree with dark green, leathery leaves and small, fragrant white flowers.
The tree produces small, round fruits that ripen to a dark purple color and are edible.
Olienhout trees are cherished for their ornamental value, cultural significance, and the oil extracted from their fruits.
